Auri Terms, Conditions, and Disclaimer

These Terms, Conditions, and Disclaimer ("Terms") govern your use of Auri’s services, including the website, onboarding interface, APIs, integrations, and AI-powered features (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Auri provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables AI-assisted voice interaction and automation through integration with Home Assistant and other connected systems.

The Service includes:

Natural language processing
AI-generated responses
Execution of actions via integrations and tool/function calls

Auri does not directly control physical devices and acts only as an intermediary layer between user input and connected systems.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding agreements to use the Service.

3. Billing and Subscription

The Service is offered as a subscription, currently priced at $10 USD/month or $13 CAD/month.
A free trial may be offered for a limited period.
After the trial period, billing will automatically begin unless canceled.
All payments are processed via third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).
Prices, taxes, and billing terms may change with notice where required by law.

Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

4. Account and Credentials

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities conducted under your account

You must not share, expose, or misuse your credentials.

Auri reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts suspected of abuse, unauthorized use, or excessive resource consumption.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
Abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service
Reverse engineer or exploit the platform
Use the Service in a way that may cause harm, damage, or unsafe outcomes

6. AI and Automation Disclaimer

The Service uses AI-generated outputs and automated execution systems.

You acknowledge that:

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected
Actions triggered by the Service may affect real-world devices and environments
You are solely responsible for reviewing, validating, and approving actions before execution

Auri does not guarantee correctness, safety, or suitability of AI-generated decisions or actions.

7. Tool Execution and Device Control Disclaimer

Auri may execute actions via integrations (e.g., Home Assistant services).

You acknowledge that:

These actions may impact physical devices (e.g., lights, appliances, locks)
Auri does not verify the safety or appropriateness of actions
You are responsible for implementing safeguards, confirmations, and restrictions

Auri is not liable for property damage, personal injury, or losses resulting from automated or AI-assisted actions.

8. Data and Privacy

Auri is designed with minimal data retention.

Conversation data is stored temporarily to support active interactions
Data is configured to expire automatically (typically within minutes)
Deletion is handled by underlying infrastructure (e.g., AWS TTL mechanisms)

Due to the nature of distributed systems, deletion timing may vary. Auri does not guarantee real-time or immediate deletion.

9. Service Availability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Auri does not guarantee:

Continuous availability
Uptime or reliability
Error-free operation

The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues.

10. Termination

Auri may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:

You violate these Terms
Your account poses risk to the system or other users
Payment fails or is disputed

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

11. No Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Auri and its operators are not liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data, revenue, or profits
Damages resulting from AI-generated outputs or automated actions

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auri and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

Your use of the Service
Your violation of these Terms
Any actions executed through your account

14. Changes to These Terms

Auri may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
